172726 - Innovative Solutions for Floating Offshore Wind
Abstract:
ALFOWT is a modular floating factory designed for the serial production of floating offshore wind turbines (FOWTs). It eliminates the need for onshore port land, is fully relocatable, and supports local manufacturing wherever deployed. Key benefits include significant time savings, space efficiency, reusability, and a reduced environmental footprint.
C2L is an optimised launch ramp specifically engineered for large-scale floating structures. It enables autonomous deployment operations without relying on heavy-lift vessels, thereby reducing operational costs and enhancing safety standards. Its modular and scalable design ensures flexibility, operational versatility, and reusability, making it both cost-efficient and eco-friendly.
FOWT with C²C technology offers parallel assembly of floating wind turbines through the use of modular concrete caissons. This solution minimises land requirements, maximises local content integration, and removes the need for specialised heavy-lift equipment. The method is highly flexible, economically viable, and fully aligned with industry certification requirements.
OmniDock is a floating lifting platform that combines Bardex’s OmniLift technology with modular C²C concrete hulls. It enables the safe, rapid launching of heavy floating structures without the need for ballasting. The system’s modularity ensures adaptability to various port configurations and provides a scalable, reusable, and certified solution.
W²S is a semi-submersible floating dock system designed for wet storage of FOWTs. It frees up valuable quay space, supports continuous offshore wind operations, and offers environmental benefits by reducing land use. Its modular, relocatable structure ensures reusability and adaptability to different operational sites and project needs.
